INTRODUCTION
  • Swasthavritta is a branch of AYURVEDA - which deals with the prevention of diseases through holistic approach by ‘Diet, Hygiene & Yoga’
  • For educating, equipping & empowering individuals with information & resources they need to protect their health has been one of our priority area of this department.
  • It focuses on personalized, preventive & promotive health care through diet and lifestyle with the help of pathya and apathya.
  • It cures disease & develop doctors with a service orientation for the various needs of community.

MISSIONS
  • To be a role model by setting a benchmark for Post-Graduate & Post-Doctoral Education in Swasthavritta.

OBJECTIVES

  • Garabha Sanskara (Ancient secret of healthy progeny).

Event:- National Nutritional Month

The month of September every year is celebrated as the Rashtriya Poshan Maah or the National Nutrition Month across the country. The Ministry of Rural Development (M/oRD) is leveraging this occasion to intensively disseminate key messages to all intended beneficiaries on positive nutritional behaviours and practices the aim is to foster nutritional understanding across the country.

Under the department of SWASTHVRITTA AND YOGA DR.SUDEEP KAUR , AND DR. PRIYA PATHAK organised seminars by all the classes on the topic MILLETS Under the guidelines of NATIONAL NUTRITIONAL MONTH

Students of 3rd year and 2nd prof of SKSS AMC made delicious delicacies using only millets, which was a healthy and mouth-watering delight . Students made Raagi halwa and "Air fried Buckwheat millet Manchurians for everyone to devour their journey through the seminar.
All of this would not have been possible without the encouragement of our principal, mam Dr. Inderpal Kaur .

In association with the Department of Rasshastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Dr. Praveen Guleria & Dr. Geetika Kadwalia, Students of BAMS 2nd Prof. has made Ayurvedic Oro-dental care products, which are "SKSS Lal Dant Manjan" and "Mukhshodhak Ark," working as Gandusha. In this project, Ayurvedic herbs were selected as per current season, i.e., Sharad Ritu (Early winters), and according to Dincharya (Day Regime).
